Manor Creative has presented 70 of its clients with environmental support certificates for tree planting as part of its Manor Earth 10-point sustainable business pledge.

The Eastbourne-based printers said the certificates are awarded annually in recognition of business placed with the company.

Graham Brownett, chief executive Manor Creative, said: "Our objective was and still is to minimise the impact of our business on the environment.

"By reducing waste, conserving natural resources, trading ethically and developing a sustainable business, we wanted to work with our customers and suppliers to combat climate change."

The business said it has carbon neutral status, and supports the charity Trees for Life. A total of 340 trees have been added with Trees for Life.

The certificates are supported by paper merchant Robert Horne and carry the FSC logo. Alan Watson Featherstone, Trees for Life founder and executive director, said: "We are extremely grateful to Manor Creative for their support.

"The Caledonian Forest is Scotland's equivalent of a rainforest - an ancient and remarkable woodland that needs our help. Every tree and grove planted makes a real difference to securing its future."
